With this epic guide book, we would like to initiate a new climbing era in the Hochschwab region and to share the fascination of the Hochschwab with other climbing enthusiasts.
Soon, after 30 years of waiting, the brand new Hochschwab climbing guidebook will be published at the end of June 2020. In the meantime, a huge amount of first ascents was done and plenty of old routes got retro-bolted. After three years of fieldwork, the authors will present more than 350 multi-pitch climbs with detailed topos, meaningful overview pictures and all necessary information about the routes and the region.
Those climbers who prefer sport climbing routes will gain information about more than 25 climbing crags in the entire region.
Stay informed about the progress of our guidebook project on our News and our Facebook page „Hochschwab Kletterführer“ (only in German).
